Independence Day is around the corner. Fireworks, fun activities, and festive displays for the whole family is what the 4th is all about! Nothing beats the euphoric feeling around the Fourth of July. Tellico Village, like the whole of Tennessee, is not left behind. The following are the top three Tellico Village 4th of July traditions to celebrate Independence Day in style.

3 Best Tellico Village 4th of July Traditions

1. Fireworks Shows

There would be no Independence Day celebrations without a fireworks display. You can look forward to fantastic fireworks shows wherever you are in Tellico Village. You can also enjoy delicious food and live music from local entertainers before the big show. Here’s a list of Tellico Village 4th of July traditions you won’t want to miss this year. See you on the lake!

2. The Kahite 4th of July Parade

The Kahite 4th of July Parade has been ongoing for the last ten years, growing by leaps and bounds. This parade was the idea of two couples from Tellico Village’s Kahite neighborhood — Nelson & Linda Ledbetter and Dick & Marvella Mullen.

The idea was quite simple — decorate something (car, golf cart, yourself, etc.) and parade it in the neighborhood during the 4th of July celebrations to bring some family fun to the festivities.

The Kahite 4th of July Parade has since grown into an annual tradition for residents of Tellico Village. It features marching units, an honor guard featuring veterans representing all the military branches, clowns, and a fireworks celebration. Neighbors get to decorate things like golf carts, motorbikes, vehicles, and pretty much anything to showcase their creativity.

3. Fun, Music, and Fireworks at the Yacht Club

There is plenty of fun at the Tellico Village Yacht Club on Independence Day. The Yacht Club was established in 1983 and has since provided residents and visitors alike with fabulous views of the lake and mountains while offering extraordinary events.

As is traditionally the case, you can look forward to music and fireworks on the 4th of July. There will be music by The Chessmen and great food. Vintage cars will also be on display to spice up the party. Tickets will cost $10, inclusive of a house adult beverage.
