On March 16, 1999, Kiwanis became part of Tellico Village’s fabric. It was the first recognized service club in the Village. They celebrated 25 years on March 16, 2024
A Tradition of Excellence and Service
The Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village has a rich service history and has been recognized for its accomplishments and dedication. In the last 25 years, with the support of their neighbors, local businesses, and Club fundraisers, the Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village has been able to distribute three-quarters of a million dollars to schools, non-profits, and organizations to support their work with the communities of Eastern Tennessee.
Upcoming Events and Projects
The club’s calendar is bustling with activities aimed at supporting and uplifting the community:
- Kindergarten Roundup LCES: An initiative to support young learners as they embark on their educational journey.
- Tellico Working Together Food Distribution Monroe County: A project focused on combating food insecurity in the community.
- Kids First—CAC Paint the Town Blue is an event that aims to raise awareness and support for child advocacy.
What is the Key Club?
The Key Club of Loudon High School is a service organization affiliated with the Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village. Kiwanis works with a faculty adviser to coordinate Key Club participation in our club’s fund-raisers and major service programs.
These incredible young adults have served food at our two pancake breakfasts. They have worked at the annual golf tournaments and washed cars during our fall car wash.
They also independently provide Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas baskets/gifts for a few families in need annually. They have fielded a team for Relay for Life to help fight cancer.
They are very proud of the young people who make up their Key Club and their accomplishments.
